Calling all UK fans! Rufus will performing live on the Paul O'Grady Show on ITV on Thursday 1st December. The tv show runs from 5pm for an hour, and as far as I know isn't repeated, so don't forget to program your recorder!!

Ahh... so now we know what he's doing on his 'day off', between Brighton and Manchester concerts.. The man never stops.

(I apologise if this has already been posted -- I did a search but couldn't find anything about it.)

Cheers

I have no idea who Paul O'Grady is, but someone should tape this (and put in on the computer => internet) because I know who Rufus Wainwright is

Oh wow. Thanks for posting this. Looks like Paul O'Grady got in before Richard and Judy then. Surely he can't do both.

YAY, another TV performance. If someone is able to record and share this, it would be much appreciated!

We have ITV on our television at the seaside...will people think I'm mentally ill if I drive 1,5 hours to see a Rufus tv performance?

you don't have to tell it's for Rufus, just say you're going to the seaside. You miss the ocean!

Ok folks. for those not in the know. paul o grady is a stand up comic from merseydside who started out trawling the clubs of the north of england in drag as his alter ego the blonde bombsite: Lily Savage- an ex prostitute cum working single mother from the wirral, merseyside, with a mouth bigger and filthier than the mersey tunnel:

THis is she:

However since becoming famous and taming the act down slightly for tv (ie taking out any jokes about oral sex and sleeping with the milk man to pay the bill etc) and presenting kitsch retro game show blankety blank paul has put lily out to pasture and now only appears as himself, (occasionally lily returns to be the evil queen in panto or as miss hannigan in Annie!)

He now has his own show teatime on itv1 where its more family orientated but still fairly anarchic and loud. Its slightly like the graham norton show only a lot cleaner as children may be watching and kids seem to love him. A mixture of chat and silly games and cute stuff about doggies and kiddies.

I cant stand it myself as the audience are so loud and are always whooping or catterwalling.

This is Mr O Grady and one of his little dogs, Buster.

Likely He'll chat to rufus before sending him off to the piano/guitar to sing.

My mother loves this show, but is not a great rufus fan. When i told her the news she curled her lip with the right amount of attitude that would make lily proud!

PS Sorry that picture of lil is so big! Hope it doen't scare anyone too much!

Considering he's not your cup of tea, you've summerised the whole show to perfection!!!!
Can't wait myself! I think the two of them will either be great or he'll die on the spot. At least Paul knows how to put his guests at ease, but I do hope that Rufus knows what he is getting himself into. I hope it turns out to be a great laugh and that Rufus is the first guest as then he should be on the couch for the whole hour!!!! Well 40mins anyway. Thanks for letting us all know.
